Successful applicants need a Bachelor degree or higher in a Human Services related field (Psychology, Counseling, Education, Criminal Justice, Sociology, Recreation Therapy, etc.)
Candidates must also have experience working with At Risk youth, Foster Care, Correctional Facilities, Residential Treatment Centers, or Adventure programs. Transportation is also required.
RMH Field Specialists need experience in the outdoors, such as backpacking, climbing, orienteering, rappelling, and other outdoor adventure activity. MILITARY background is also favorable.
Eagle Quest of Nevada High Adventure Therapy youth complete a six-week program in the wilderness areas of Nevada. Youth and Staff will be hiking, camping, orienteering and other backcountry activities.
This is in addition to a rigorous curriculum that RHH Field Specialists will be required to teach. The Field Specialist will also guide the youth as they complete schoolwork for high school credits.
